Curses on you…Demons that body hair stands on end
Around the end of the Edo era, occult boom arose. People gathered night after night, and play called “round of ghost stories at night” that we made 100 mysterious statements was popular, and interest of people for terrible “ghost” such as ghost and ghost increased. In addition, “Yotsuya ghost story” and “plate mansion” which were masterpiece of mysterious statement spread out in the public in novel or Kabuki, and, besides, many “ghosts” came to be described in ukiyoe print which was entertainment of general public. By book exhibition, we introduce approximately 100 points of “ghost” whom ukiyoe artists representing Hokusai, Hiroshige, Toyokuni cherry blossom, kokuho, the times including springtime of youth described works to cathedral.
We offer plain commentary to be able to enjoy to child of primary schoolchild. Carry foot to “mysterious ghost ukiyoe print exhibition” by all means in summer vacation.
