In the exhibition “Working aqua 2015”, the landscape paintings contain a sense of movement through the composition and layering of trees researched at different areas and flowing water.
When one looks at these pieces, various spaces are created and various moments are created.
As both an homage and transgression to the formality of painting, these works interconnect through the process of creation and depletion of memory, while expressing the far and near, destruction and regeneration, and the past, present and future.
By mainly using the color blue that is derived from water and overlapping different colored tones and lines, my objective is to convey something much like the elegance in landscapes.
I feel that there lies our deep emotions towards our daily life and the changing perspective on nature, much like a basso continuo.
