Description
William Morris (1834-96) was one of the most prominent British artists and thinkers of the 19th century.
After the Industrial Revolution, with the flood of low-quality mass-produced products, Morris aimed to restore the craftsmanship of medieval guild societies where people had a work life full of joy derived from creating things. He materialized his unique initiative to incorporate art into everyday life through his comprehensive activities related to interior decoration.
This exhibition will display major works of Morris and other designers of the period, highlighting his life dedicated to aesthetic lives and the history of his designs.
