Curator’s Talk: Gahee Park “Collaboration: A key factor in curatorial practice”

Higashiyama Artists Placement Service (HAPS) will invite Gahee Park, an emerging curator from Seoul, to talk about her curatorial practices. The talk will be mainly on her experiences on exhibition-making with focus on “Collaboration” as a key factor of her curatorial practice.

Through this talk, audience can briefly grasps a part of Korean Young Art scene and will give a moment to think the differences and similarities between Korean and Japanese art scene with following talk by Mizuki ENDO, a president of HAPS.

About Gahee Park

Gahee Park is a curator who works in Seoul Museum of Art(SeMA), Seoul, Korea since 2013. Her main interest is on research based practices and knowledge production through visual art. She attempts to address issues of ‘now and here’ around us through exhibition-making and further aims to evoke questions on the issues. Her recent projects include (2014, co-curated with Junglim Foundation), (2014), (2014) at SeMA, (Stone and Water, KR 2012), (Centre for Creative Collaboration, UK 2011). She holds a MA from Goldsmiths College, London.
